Converting PDF to Editable Word Files!
Portable Digital Format documents (PDFs) have become the have become the standard digital file format for sharing documents online and in scanning documents from copiers.
As great as PDFs are, have you ever wished that you could convert these awesome sharable documents into something that you can edit? Well you can!
No you don't need to copy and paste with bad formatting or buy Adobe Acrobat/Adobe Export PDF/ MS Word 2013. You can use OneDrive/Word Online to convert your PDFs to a MS Word file FREE!! It's not perfect as it won't recognize handwriting and there will be some minor re-formatting that needs to happen but I have used it and it is useful.
You will need to create a free Microsoft account. I would recommend using your current school email address to set up your account. Once created, you will need to upload your PDF document to your new OneDrive account and open it in Word Online. Here is a good website that will take you through the steps (see Method 4): Converting a PDF into an Editable Word File. If you need assistance, please visit one of the DTCs during blocks 1, 2, or 3 or email me.
