Getting Organized with Wunderlist
Wunderlist is an electronic to-do list. Wait. Not an electronic to-do list. THE BEST electronic to-do list.
Wunderlist is an app and also a website. The beauty in that is that once you create an account (or sign up using Google), everywhere you open it, your lists will be synced. You can have it on your phone, your iPad, and your computer and everything stays up-to-date.
Additionally, your Wunderlists can be shared with others. For example, you can share a list with the other members of your PLT for future work to be completed or you can share a list with your significant other to remember who needs to buy the kids’ birthday presents. You can even leave comments to each other essentially having a text conversation within the app about the to-do item.
Check out this video for a quick explanation about Wunderlist.
Below is an image of Wunderlist on a laptop. As you can see on the left panel, each user can have a variety of to-do lists and organize them into different folders. In the middle panel, is the to-do list. When you click on a to-do item, you get a variety of options to add information and detail to the item. It also allows you to set reminders so that items aren’t forgotten.
Wunderlist is a wonderful tool for your own personal organization, but it can be used in the classroom, too. Check out this blog post with some ideas about using Wunderlist in the classroom.
Lisa Darocha was interested in Wunderlist...but only wanted it if it talks to her Google Calendar. Turns out, it does! See the directions here!
